Our company is having trouble printing from a Solaris 8 SPARC system
to an HP Laserjet 4300 . When the request is sent, the printer's
display says "Processing ..." for a second and then goes back to
Ready.

We can print to 4050s, 4100s and 4550s I believe.

There are no UNIX drivers listed for this printer on HP's download
site.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

If 4300 has an ethernet card, then all you need to do is to play with
lpadmin command.
