I edited the file /etc/init.d/network to fix unknow host issue with dhcp.
But now system won't reboot. It seems i have added extra "fi" in the
/etc/init.d/network file
At the moment it will only get me as far as Run level1
i can't really use any of the command to edit that from from run level1 .
Any idea?

Ok finally it is working now. Was able to boot off the CDROM and got to
single usermode. from there i was able to edit the file after mounting the /
partition. all good now.
