How to log console output to a file?
|
|
|
| Hi,
I have two install a system via serial connection (both Solaris). I
know there is a possibility to log the output of the open terminal to
a file, but I can't remember the command.
Does anybody know?
Greetins,
Ronim.

You probably mean "script".

Good judgement comes with experience. Unfortunately, the experience
usually comes from bad judgement.

We use scren for that purpose. It's capable of saving data to a file
(assuming you define the line buffer big enough) and it's detachable.
Hope that helps,
Thomas
