I've read some of the posts on dbforums and sendmail.org but I still
can't get this sendmail program to work. I have AIX 4.3.3 on RS/6000
and I want to install the latest version of sendmail just to make things
easier when I migrate to AIX 5.1L. Can someone help me walk through the
install process from compiling to setting up the sendmail.cf file? I
just want to be able to send emails from my AIX box, to my internal MS
Exchange server. I don't need to receive emails to my AIX box at all.
If someone would be willing to show me how to use the current
sendmail.cf file as installed by 4.3.3, that would be great. My AIX box
is not using DNS.
My email setup is as follows:
username@city.company.com using SMTP on MS Exchange.
Exchange Server: xxx-site-02 (I can ping it from AIX using this name)
If you think installing 8.12.10 sendmail would be better, I've already
downloaded it, but there are way too many files for me to understand how
to install it.
I've tried editing the sendmail.cf DS and DM parts, still doesn't work.
When I send an email, I get errors on line 506, and after that. I'd
even be willing to write a how-to and post it somewhere so dumb-asses
like me that have root access can share the knowledge. If you want to
