I would have to concur. I have several FreeBSD servers in commercial
production and have had to do very little to tweak the kernels. A few
extra pty's and get rid of the junk for hardware you dont have.

After the fact though sometimes have to play with maxvnodes and
somaxconn at least in FreeBSD, the way the kernel build computes those
is ... bizzarre ;/
