Ausgehende Mails kopieren
|
|
| andycrx 2004-07-28, 6:19 pm |
| Hi
Mfg Andy

I didn't know this was an English-only group?

Now what would you think from the description of cua in your
newsreader:
Administering a Unix-based system.
The name is comp.unix.admin not de.comp.unix.admin and the
description isn't:
Administration von Unix basierten Systemen.
Makes it pretty obvious. IMHO it's quite rude writing in a
different language then the one that could easily be gathered
from name, description and/or simply reading a few posts.

Um, OK, maybe I'm missing seeing "Non-english posts not welcome"?

OK,?

I don't think it's particularly rude, myself. Ineffective, perhaps,
but hardly rude. Of course he'd have a better chance of getting
useful responses if more of the audience could read it, but that's
hardly our problem.
On some of the genealogy groups I frequent, people have been asked to
write in their native language rather than translating badly (or worse,
by machine) and making the message completely unreadable. I'm not sure
that this is any different here, is it?
That having been said,I don't recall seeing his original question in
the first place, so I can't address how readable it was.

For non-german speakers :
A machine with Spamassassin and ClamAV, and the OP wants to copy all
outgoing mails.
Answer :
Iy you need the MTA to copy it, the way to do it depends on the MTA used
.. In Sendmail a milter that does it is easely written. If you're a Perl
code, you could hack up Amavis. If you're happen to run a Dual-MTA
setup, it might get easier.

It's common practice to consider the language to post in English unless
stated otherwise.
That I'm capable of reading (and writing) doesn't mean I prefer that,
since that locks people out of the conversation that don't read / write
German. I usually make a shortened version of the question in English.

One could argue about that.

It's in German by a native German speaker, so quite readable if you can
read German

.... to find a spy who frequently mails to competitors.
Answer:
scan the logfiles. If you know the competitor's E-mail address, it
should be easy to guess the spy's sender address.
Then, with the suspicious address, continue with the next answer:

In addition, depending on the country, there might be some legal
issues involved with making copies of all outgoing mails, I'd
double-check before. Or your proofs might not be worth anything,
if you get into court.
