Hi,

Please help me with the Fiber networking issues.
I have cisco switch 4000 model with 6 Gigabit GBIC LX and SX (SC
connector) ports. My workstation has fiber LC type interface. When I use
LC-SC cable to connect the linux host to GBIC SX port on the switch, the
link light is green. But when connected to GBIC LX type, the is no network
connection to my host.

Does GBIC LX and SX compatible ? Do you have any suggestion to use LX
port.

Please reply to: minhcao123@yahoo.com

Thanks in advance !
Minh
