Hi All

I am trying to learn unix and have been given 2 Sun netra T1 105 servers. I
have managed to clear the firmware password and connected by serial to the
unit.

The problem is the system software password, As i donot know it and have no
way of finding out.The units came from a recycling depot.

Is there anyway of reseting the admin password or downloading a new copy of
Sun OS 5.6 that is on the unit.

I have tried Sun online but cant get anywhere due to accounts being required
can anyone help.

Thanks

Gerry

If you have Solaris and Sun questions you may want to also check out
comp.unix.solaris and comp.sys.sun.*.

5.6 is probably fairly hard to get hold of, and probably not worth
learning at this point. Your Netras should be supported by Solaris 8,
9, and 10. If you're learning Solaris I would look at getting 9 or 10.

Lots of free documentation at docs.sun.com.
