Regarding NFS:
I ran df -h and saw all the NFS shares have been unmounted.

Passwd:
I went line by line in /etc/passwd; I didnt get any id error lines
above oracle user

Yesturday when I went in to oracle directory and do ls -l I see the
files identified by its uid and when i do id for oracle I get user not
found.
Today I ran pwconv - Now the file in the directory are identified with
name rather then UID and id oracle works.{able to create new users etc;
But still not able to login as oracle. I tried changing the password.

# id -a oracle
uid=100(oracle) gid=100(oinstall) groups=0(root),101(dba)
# id -p oracle
uid=100(oracle) gid=100(oinstall) projid=3(default)
# groups oracle
staff oinstall

Logan, how do I reintialize the PAM?

Thanks
Joe
