Hi folks,

I'm just trying to get a grasp around the entire episode of applying
DST patches for this year's brand new change for Daylight Savings Time
change coming up in 2007.

I know for Solaris 8 the patch that you require for this is 109809-05
available from SunSolve website but the on important thing that it
does not mention is whether any old firware versions will also be
affected as a result of this or not?

Do you know if I would need to upgrade the firmware level to any
required minimum level in order to get the DST patch straightened out
or not?

Any help/comments/remarks regarding this are appreciated in advance.

cheers.

Timezones are handled by converting from GMT/UTC. The PROMs
don't care about timezones. Therefore no firmware update is
needed for it.

On the other hand if you've fallen behind on your patches, view this
as a
chance to catch up including firmware. A foot in the door ...
