Need help for this 2 questions:

domain windows 2003 and samba 3 on debian machine:

1) when i change psw onto unix machine (smbpasswd -r win2003 ) i could
change the password only one time a day (i don't understand why!?!!?)
and during the day i could login with both password (old and new).
Who could explain me why? which service manage this?

2) when i modify authorization group from win 2003 which service/
process runs onto unix machine to synchronize this information??
