A sun tech said that I can download a software that is called
explorer log file that will tell us of any
system errors, memory etc......

Does anyone know what is the name of this software? Also has anyone
used it? How good is it?

pkginfo | grep SUNWexpl
(I think)
it's called explorer - it generates a .tar.gz file with a TON of useful
troubleshooting information. Not just for Sun - we run them
periodically, and it's very useful when fixing a system to go back a
month or three and see what used to be in some file in /etc or wherever.
It's a Sun package, I can get the specific names if you can't find them.
But your sun support folks should be able to point you to it on sunsolve
if you can't find it there.

Useful not only for them helping you with an issue, but for historical
information about your servers. Someone clever might even be able to
get a configuration chang log out of them.
