Hi all,

do you have any idea how can I install and configure the snmp mib on
suse 9.0 pro patch 3?

This is for the integration of the upper with HP OpenView...
Thanks!

Typically the mib file is loaded into the network management tool
(i.e. OpenView in your case) so the network management tool can make
sense of the numerica OID's coming into the managed devices from SNMP
traps, and such.

In all the network devices including linux boxen I've managed with
network management tools, I've never had to load anything on to the
managed devices to get them happy -- just turn on and configure snmp.

So, to answer your question, I'd consult the documentation of
OpenView and see how openview loads MIB's into their mib browser
application, or whatever database they use that keeps track of MIB
definitions.

Best Regards,
