Author chroot()

I am trying to use chroot() in a program of mine, and was reading the
man page for it. It says that it does not change the current working
directory. Does this mean that even if i chroot() i must still chdir()
to the chroot dir? Can I then open, for example, "/lala"?

Thanks,
Aaron
