Hi, I am trying to get a patch in a project in which I use fdopen(). The
maintainer complains about it not being ansi C. On the other hand the same
file to which I add this call already calls fork() and pipe(). He doesn't
have a problem with those as 'they have been in bsd and SV forever and so
are virtually always available'. I think that fdopen is just as available
as the other two. If someone can tell me where and when it first apeared I
may be able to make him change his mind.
cheers Tobias.
