Author Connecting to a host via telnet and sending a telnet break from C program

Hi

I have been reading the Stevens book and trying to modify an existing C
program to connect to a system via telnet and then send a telnet break to
the
far host to begin communicating with the host.

The Stevens book uses an echo or daytime example and I cannot seem to get
the text from the telnet session to display right and can't seem to find any
direction
on sending a telnet break to the far end.

Any examples or pointers are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Jim
