| Position: Software Tester (Mid-Sr level).
JobDescription:
- Candidate to work independently to understand business
and system requirements.
- Job includes creating test plans from
requirement/design documentation and performing primarily manual
testing using UNIX and database tools for a wide variety of financial
applications and processes.
- Testing will focus on backend UNIX programs, SQL &
Shell scripting and batch processes.
- Duties will include test plan development, primarily
manual testing, defect reporting/verification, and test metrics.
- Close interaction with the development staff and quick
response to an ever-changing environment is essential to the position.
Mandatory Skills Required:
- Minimum 4 years as a software tester. Must have
recent experience testing applications written in C/C++, VB, Java,
PL/SQL and Shell scripting on both UNIX & Desktop environments.
- Good understanding of software testing methodology and
terminology.
- Experience testing applications written in C/C++, VB,
Java, PL/SQL and Shell scripting on both UNIX & desktop environments.
- MUST have extensive experience testing in/with UNIX,
FTP, SQL, Vi editor, and database procedures/triggers/packages,
ClearCase, ClearQuest.
- At least 2-years recent experience with Test Director
is required.
- Development experience in UNIX and Oracle is a plus.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able
to work autonomously and follow direction.
