Hi,
How can i use the pipe command to write terminal outputs to the same
file without being overwritten .....
Currently i am using the command ... which overwrites the file
everytime i try it again.

$ ps ax > filename

Strictly, it is not a "pipe", but "redirection".
To append to the file instead of overwriting it, use a double '>'.

$ ps ax >> filename
