How to get usbview to work under Knoppix?
When I run it, it says that /proc/bus/usb/devices doesn't exist. This is
true; /proc/bus/usb exists but is an empty directory.

Note that usbview came bundled with the distributed system, so you would
think it should work (I did not install it myself).

Interesting; back when my USB ports *didn't* work with SuSE, I tried
booting with a Knoppix CD and usbview ran when I tried it, and even
saw my printer and thumbdrive. It seemed to be better at making USB
work that SuSE was.

Note, incidentally (just in case it wasn't clear), all of my USB devices
work just fine (most of them turn up in the /proc hierarchy as SCSI
devices). But usbview doesn't work.
