1) Ditch SCO. GNU/Linux, Free/Net/OpenBSD are better alternatives,
and we don't intimidate and sue our own customers. You can run SCO
binaries on i386-linux if you must.
2) How to merge the signature with the cheque depends on what printer
control language you are using. If it's PostScript, just insert
the signature scaled and positioned as you like. The same applies
to PDF. If it's some printer-specific language like ESC/P, you'll
need to manually rotate, scale and convert into the appropriate
raster format.
