It might be a good Idea for you to go and pickup a copy of TCP\IP
Illustrated Volumes One Two and Three. They will help out a lot whether
you are coding in *nix or windows because the structures are basically
the same you just have to change the header files if you are coding in
a win32 enviorment of course. Are you going to use the OS's IP header or
are you going to bypass the kernel and write your own struct and seed
the header fields yourself? If you dont wanna go spend the money on the
above I suggest you go and pick up a copy of Beejs Guide to network
programming and a good C reference Book. After you get done with those
go and grab mixters paper on low level socket programming this should
help you out as well.
