where i can get the completely libevent APIs documentation and example
to use it. I tried on net and didnt find much of the information.

Any pointer would be appreciated

libevent should've installed with a man[ual] page--event(3)--on your system.
If not, here's a newish version:

The source tarball contains a regression suite, which provides suitable
examples for getting started:
