| Hi,
I have a new HP DX2000 PC :-
Celeron 330 2.66GHz,40GB IDE, 256MB RAM
It has built in NIC, Sound and VGA. I have disabled the NIC and USB only
has there's no option to disable the sound. There's no other cards
installed.
I want to load OSR5.0.6 onto this PC and when I boot from either a CD or
Floppy I get the following message:-
%console - - - unit=vga type=0 num=12 scoansi=1 scroll=50
F chainit
Unexpected trap in kernel mode:
cr0 0x80010013 cr2 0x0000D8A4 cr3 0x00002000 tlb 0x00000000
ss 0x00000158 uesp 0xF00AE857 efl 0x00010046 ipl 0x00000000
cs 0x00000158 eip 0xC0101180 err 0x00000002 trap 0x0000000E

esp 0xE0000C28 ebp 0xE0000C88 esi 0xF0210A08 edi 0xE0000D24
ds 0x00000160 es 0x00000160 fs 0x00000000 gs 0x00000000
cpu 0x00000001
PANIC: k_trap - Kernel mode trap type 0x0000000E
DOUBLE PANIC: k_trap - Kernel mode trap type 0x0000000E
I've removed the memory and replaced it but that does not fix the problem.
Any advise in solving this problem would be appreciated.

Be sure the system does NOT share system RAM.
If it does share RAM, then see if the BIOS has an option to turn off the
built in card and to not reserve RAM for it, then get an addin video
card and use that.
Have you tried 5.0.7 instead?
