Ok, through the suggestions of users I have installed Cygwin and am now
trying to install this window manager called Xfce only because it looked
good based on the screenshots and the installation seemed easy. WHile
installing I received an error which told me to install this package
installer from freedesktop.org. After downloading the tar file I unpacked
it, and now I have a bunch of files in a folder called pkg-config-0.18.1 .
This is where I hit a road block. If anyone knows how I'm supposed to
install this package installer so that the Xfce windows manager can finish
installing itself ,, please, please help me out. I feel like I'm finally
very close to using a unix windows manager in WinXP if I can get pass this
one last road block. thanks

Forgive me for asking too many questions on this newsgroup this week but I
am completely new to Unix.
