I bet you are right... In fact, I bet that the OP didn't cut'n'paste
his hashbang line, but transcribed it for us, and that the original
hashbang line is something like...
#!\bin/bash

To the OP: check to see that you have used forward-slashes as path
separators in the hashbang line
