Is there a good book that has loads and loads of exercises. Some
examples also would be nice but should have many exercises to
practice.

Or is there such a webiste having lots of bash exercises to try out?

I already am using the abs-guide but find it tough. What's the easiest
book on bash (both language wise - for non-english speaking people and
for beginners)

Depends on your background I suppose, if you already have some scripting
experience (with some (V)Basic e.g.) some aspects of programming are
easier to grok than for people who're complete n00bs.

I'm not a complete n00b. I got the LinuxCBT Scripting Edition which
has a nice set of videos for Bash Scripting on CD1. Nice and easy to
understand but in case of books, I don't find easy language for non-
english people.

Does anyone else have any comments or reviews on LinuxCBT Bash ?

I've read "Unix Shell Programming" by Yashwant Kanetkar. It's a nice
book with examples and exercises. But the book is an old '96 edition.
I need something similar but a current one.

Hi.

There is a book that has the same title of your; This book, imho, is
reccomended for the Linux beginner or for someone who wants a reference
book.

Title :"Unix Shell Programming, Third Edition (2003)
by Stephen Kochan, Patrick Wood.

It's a great book and it has many examples.
