Hello;

We have a dds3 Tape drive and DDS3 tape but we would like to do backup in
DDS2 Format using DDS3 tapes because we have another drive tape that is a
dds2 which we would like to verify the backups.

I'm Using Compaq Tru 64 4.0.E with patch duv40eas0004-20000307
Can it be done??

Thanks

Put a dds2 tape in your dds3 drive for backups. As soon as you insert a
dds3 tape in a dds2 drive, the tape wil be ejected. I think your only
other option is to replace the dds2 drive.
