I'm after the hostid on Tru64. Entering the hostid command returns 0.
netstat -i just gives the MAC address but I have a product called Legato
Networker which displays an 8-digit hostid which appears to be hex-based yet
nothing like the MAC address.

Does anyone use Legato and can tell me how to obtain the hostid for Tru64?
I need the Hostid to be able to get a licence for that server.

Thanks!

If you print out the license information, the hostid is displayed.

The hostid depends on the ip-adres of the server.

First you buy license enablers for the products you use (i.e power
edition, windows nt client, autochanger 64 slots, oracle bussines module
etc.), then you have 45 days to have them authorized.

To have your products authorized print the license information or save
as text-file and fill out the web-form or e-mail to Legato.

# hostid `hostname`
# hostid

Later versions (v5?) set it when they set the hostname. It is simply
the hex representation of the host's IP address.
