RMC on DS20E or ES40

| Hi,
I'm trying to connect to a DS20E (com1) using Windows HyperTerminal.
Should this work?
Is an Unix command available to verify that RMC switch is enabled?
Same question for an ES40

| Should work...
Connect to the serial console port.
Use a null-modem cable.
At the firmware-prompt:

| Thanks, but the problem was HyperTerminal, using a VT320 emulator works
fine.
