Hello,

I have N group of 4 dec alpha tru64Unix V5.1, in each group. Each
machine, inside a group is connected to a network switch. This switch is
connected to network company lan. It is the same thing for other
groups.

When, inside a group, I mount on a client a NFS file-system from an NFS
server (in the same group), it works fine .

Now, I disconnect a group from the company-network. I reboot all 4
machines (2xds10, 2xds20e), I have this message :

** Cannot get NFS port from portmat server at Bemol : RPC : Program not
registered
**

Other network functions (telnet,ping,rcp....) work very well. Only NFS
cannot run in this mode. All names of all machines are in /etc/hosts. I
have also DNS, but whith priority one to local hosts , then DNS.

I don't understand what happens. Why, with network company, it works
very well and without it, it don't work?
All DEC alpha are in Tru64 V5.1 Patch_kit 4.

Thank you for you suggestions or/and help.
Best regard.

Pierre S.
