LP printer problem after network ip/subnet change

| Hi there,
Last week we changed the IP/subnet address of our whole network.
Because of the application on Unix server (Compaq Alpha Tru64 OSF1), we
did not change the ip address of Unix server but added an alias with
ifconfig command so that the server can be reached by telnetting.
Now the problem is that we cannot print to the printers attached to
thin clients (client ips had been changed too). I'm a newbie in Unix so
i don't know what to configure exactly. I changed the ip addresses of
the LP definitions in /etc/hosts file. (LPD service is enabled on the
clients). But it didn't work. What else i should configure to print to
these printers?
any advice will be appriciated.
thanks in advance.

| Or try to install CUPS, this is a better alternative with good support...
I don't know if this tip will work on Tru64, but it's worth a go IMO:
