Hello everybody,
I would to install TrueType fonts on Tru64 machine:

"uname -a" :
"OSF1 FD2 V5.1 2650 alpha"

"man truetype":
"The configuration of TrueType fonts is the same as for bitmap fonts,
except
that the fonts.dir file has to be created manually rather than by the
mkfontdir command. "

How can I create manually file font.dir?

I copy tfonts in /var/X11/fonts/user/ttfonts and try
"mkfontdir"

then
"xset fp+ /var/X11/fonts/user/ttfonts
xset fp rehash"

but it doesn't work.
Please, can you help me?

Thanks in advance.
