I am downsizing a Alpha Tru64 environment and want to keep the smallest
box
I have an DS20E for playing with. Although a lot faster the 4 CPU
ES40's are just
to big, noisy and are power hogs.

I have plenty of disk drives from 18 to 75GB, and have a KZPCC-CA 3
channel
hardware RAID controller left over. There is a couple starlight table
top chassis if
I ever want to RAID up more storage.

Any suggestions on disk layout ? Should I use one of the KZPCC's
channels for
the internal 6 disks ?

How about RAID1 the internal disks as 3 pairs instead of of RAID5 for
performance ?

With the KZPCC any good use for the two SCSI controllers on the mother
board ?

Is there a cheap way to get more the 2GB of ram in a DS20E ?

Other ideas ?

Thanks

-pete

PS There maybe a 8200/4100 cluster with 2 RACK full of disks on EBay
