Hello All,

I have installed HP SureStore DLT80 SCSI DLT drive in RedHat 6.2
Kernel-2.4.14. I was able to write the data in the tape but while trying to
read the data i am getting the error

# tar -tvf /dev/st0
tar: Read error on /dev/st0: Input/output error
tar: At beginning of tape, quitting now
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

# mt -f /dev/st0 status
SCSI 2 tape drive:
File number=0, block number=0, partition=0.
Tape block size 0 bytes. Density code 0x25 (DDS-3).
Soft error count since last status=0
General status bits on (41010000):
BOT ONLINE IM_REP_EN

# mt -f /dev/st0 tell
At block 0.

What will be problem?

Regards,
Ram-C
