i can send email but not get
The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'my account was here',
Server: 'my server ip was here', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL):
No, Socket Error: 10054, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

You are kind of funny.

This is I assume an Outlook error message. Install the imapd package,
check /etc/xinet.d/ipop3 to be enabled, check that no firewalling is
active and be lucky with your Outlook.

Are you intending to use Secure Sockets to get mail? If not, you need
to change setings in your email client.
