What does df stand for?

| Hi all,
Some of the commands in Linux are short and must of had their names derived
from somewhere. To show disk usage, you use df. What does it stand for?

Disk Free
(as in, how much Disk is Free).

KrackLot,
diskfree, this can be checked by man df and look at the first page of the
manual
