Author Writing to cdrom

When I attempt to write to the cdrom, the response is:
Cannot Open : Read only file system. The drive is read- write.

any suggestions will be appreciated.

You cannot write on a CD. Neither under windows nor under linux. You will have
to use a cd-burner program. Try xcdroast
