| Hello there,
I have Fedora Core 2 up and running now and in spite of some (major)
changes and problems, it now works very well for me (including all the
multimedia stuff). Thanks to the fedora team!
I still have a few questions though:
I know SCSI stuff has changed. I can use my Canon scanner using Kooka and
XSane. I can mount Compact Flash memory cards but I can not mount my Trust
camera the way I used to:
In FC1 I did:
# mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/camera (/dev/sda1 was for CF cards)
In FC2 I tried the whole sda range and nothing works: it just hangs and I
need to force quit the terminal window.
$ dmesg
usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using address 2 --> that does the trick
but how?
scsi1 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices
Vendor: Digital Model: Camera Rev: 1.00 Type: Direct-Access
ANSI SCSI revision: 02
SCSI device sdb: 499712 512-byte hdwr sectors (256 MB) sdb: assuming Write
Enabled
sdb: assuming drive cache: write through --> I donīt see an sdb1 here
sda: assuming Write Enabled
sda: assuming drive cache: write through
SCSI device sda: 503808 512-byte hdwr sectors (258 MB)
sda: assuming Write Enabled
sda: assuming drive cache: write through
sda: sda1 ---> this is important because I can mount the CF card using
/dev/sda1
Help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Ron
