I just installed Fedora Core 3. It went pretty smoothly on a min. install.
One change I noticed was 'fstab' seems to be adjusted on the fly. Not sure I
like it tho. I have a desktop single user machine home networked thru router
with 1 other machine in same room (& cable modem). Internal security is not
an issue. Hence, I would like regular users to have access to floppys,
CD-RW's, removable HDD's etc.
When I plugged in my Backup HDD (removable) & tried to boot it gave me
system halted error.
2 ?'s 1: Should I skip the 'fstab-sync' & go manual 'fstab'?
2: How's the general approval rating for Core 3 ?
Thanks.
Mort
