RH9, GRUB, booting incorrectly to Secondary Master
|

| Hi,
Can anyone help me with the following problem...
I have a new computer, which I have installed and is running RedHat 9. I
took my old disk from my previous computer and configured it as secondary
master on my new computer. This disk also has RedHat 9 installed. I want
to copy data off the old drive.
But what I am finding, is that the boot menu from the new hard drive
appears, and then boots linux from the secondary drive (along with many
errors, due to different hardware).
If I disconnect the secondary drive, linux boots from the primary again.
What I want to know is how to boot linux from the primary master drive,
then mount hdb1, copy data off...
Any help appreciated.
Regards,
Peter
