Deactivate the service kudzu. During bootup you are ask if you want to
start services by hand. Do that and leave kudzu. After the system is up
run chkconfig kudzu off.

In the bootloader, Im given some options. Is that where I choose to start
services by hand?

During bootup Im given the Interactive Startup option but when I hit 'I'
nothing happens. It doesnt seem to give me enough time to even hit 'I'.

So how do I disable kudzu?

Thanks,
Peter

This would be one possibility to boot. You may add init=/bin/bash to
enter in a mode where very few things start.

Exactly, the interactive startup. Normal reaktion time is enough, you
don't have to be a super hero on keyboard to enter "i" just right
enough. Try again if you missed.

Just keep hitting the 'I' key a few times, no more than five or six times
is enough.
