is that atleast in the Virginia region?

If your headers are correct you must be using knode - Linux?

But I think while installing RH you get an option to set the
times zone.

No. 24.x.x.x are mainly dynamic IP addresses that can come from
anywhere. California - look on the map - is west coast. Besides
the days that IP address related somehwat to country are long gone.

yup - have been for almost a week now. I haven't used netnews
for years ... must have been at least ten years ago ... gosh

yes it does, I set it to Lost Angels time ;-) Anyways you can
convert to any local time from GMT so it's not too bad.
