| this is the channel that came stock with Fedora:
yum channel
fedora-core-1 from http://fedora.redhat.com/releases/fedora-core-1
this is the error I get on 98% of the packages that are in need of an
upgrade on my system (new user):
The package gnupg-1.2.3-2 does not have a valid GPG signature.
It has been tampered with or corrupted. Continue?
Is there any other channels available for Fedora related rpms? I went to
RHN but didn't see Fedora mentioned at all on the total channel list so I
figured I'd get a good answer here. Thanx for any help.
I did get the 2166 core though no problem and am running it now.

The short answer, is by default, up2date is attempting to pick up it's
updates from http://fedora.redhat.com/ which becase it is the default,
every man and his dog are accessing it constantly. to get around this,
pick a different mirror.
follow the directions at
http://fedoranews.org/contributors/..._dalloz/mirror/ and you
should be good to go. I switched to secsup.org and my up2date now just
flys.
