red hat 9 update agent errors

| I have just installed redhat 9. I am trying to connect to Redhat
network and I am having several problems.
Firstly at step 1 the privacy statement is blank. The mouse pointer
stays busy but nothing happens. After a while I get tired of waiting
and click on the forward button.
I create a username (stuart_e_anderson) and a password, enter my email
address (same as above without the _nospam_). I click on the forward
button. I get to step 2, fill in the details, click forward, go to step
3, give my machine a profile name, click forward.
I see a list of packages, all ticked. I click on forward.
It asks me to click forward again and send the info to redhat network.
I do so and get an error. I see a progress dialog for a fraction of a
second the I get an error "Problem registering username". I cant get
any further.
Please help
