Author FTP 10 second delay through a DSL circuit / NOT through another

Hi all,

When I FTP in to my linux server through my new DSL circuit, I get a
10 second delay before authentication. FTP'ing through my other DSL
circuit connects instantly without delay. I checked /var/log/secure
and it IS successfully doing a reverse DNS lookup, so that isn't the
issue. I even tried adding the IP address and reverse DNS info into
/etc/hosts, but there is no difference. Both circuits have their own
reverse DNS record. Any ideas?

Sincerely,
Paul Rubin
