I'm trying to run up2date -uv on RH8 and I keep getting a message that
the updated kernel packages are marked to be skipped by my
configuration. I found a file in /etc/sysconfig/rhn called up2date and
there are a couple of lines in there that look like:
pkgSkipList=kernel*;
removeSkipList=kernel*;

so I deleted both of them but am still getting the error that kernel
packages are marked to be skipped. How can I change it to not skip the
kernel updates?
