hi!
i am running RH9; the redhat-network tool is not able to detect my usb
elsa 56k modem (even that on boot up the modem module is detected and
loaded!), but manually i am able to communicate with it on the
/sbin/usb/ACM0 port. After enabling the acm module i try to run wvdial
but the modems seems not to dial properly, and finally terminates with
error meassages.
So since i am new to all this usb modem stuff, I wonder if one of you
can help and tell me whether it is a good idea to do it via the acm
port and how to solve my problem or whether there are more convenient
ways to do a successful dialup with the elsa microlink 56k usb modem.
help is much appreciated and cheers,

alexander.
