I have Red Hat 9 on a ThinkPad T21.

I use a LinkSys WPC11 (Ver 3) PCMCIA card to connect to my home network for
every day use.

The ThinkPad also has a built-in ethernet card (3Com Mini-PCI ) which I need
to use to connect to the local university campus network where I teach a
weekly class.

Either connection works perfectly when it is the only one configured on the
machine. It's when I have both configured that things start to get strange.
Sometimes the network will come up fine, but most of the time, it tells me
it can't find the card -- any card. Then it takes me fifteen minutes of
activating and deactivating the connections and restarting the network or
pcmcia service before the connection I'm using will finally kick in. It
doesn't seem to matter which one is Eth0 or Eth1 or if both connections are
activated or not.

Any ideas? Help!

Tim
