I did it on a SUse 8.2 machine, that I am now disassembling :-)
So it's possible.
The Linux directory shows up in the "my network places" in windows
explorer (tools menu) and you can map a drive letter to it.
vice versa, you have to share a windows map. which then shows up in
the linux box.
Be sure to open up the right ports on your firewall. I believe they
are 137-139 and/or 445.
ANd maybe check that you have the right files systems available on
your Linux box.
I'll put the Suse machine back in the net and check things out
tomorrow.

Samba takes care of that problem.

probably share the printer on the windowws side. It'll show up on the
linux box I suppose...
I have a parallel printer on a printer server (Intel Netport) which I
can use from my WinXP box. It's just a printer with an IP address.
If I install the printer software on the linux bixes, I can just print
to the Netport thingy...
