Samba randomly deletes my files!

I have a samba share configured and when i copy files via the share on the
linux box - files are randomly missing.

Any thoughts.

I've never heard of this problem. Are you sure that read/write
priveledges are correct for the share. Is the trasnmission of the
files during copy completing? Is there something possiblly in your
samba .conf file that is preventing files from copying to the
folder.... It seems highly unlikely that the Samba development team
would build any function at all into the system that would allow Samba
itself to delete files...
